WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Self-defense classes are not just for women.

The West Lafayette Police Department is now offering a free self-defense program for seniors.

Resisting Aggression with Defense, or RAD for seniors, is a course for those 55 or older.

It consists of ten weekly classes held each Thursday through Nov. 29.

Pre-registration is required for the course, and you can do that by either calling 765-413-6910, or emailing Officer Janet Shepherd to complete an email registration.

Make sure to register soon, because the class begins at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the First Assembly God Church in Lafayette.
