MONTICELLO, Ind. (WLFI) - It was a perfect evening for the Monticello Main Street Tour Friday.  It was the third year for the annual event.

Three rocking banks entertained several thousand people in downtown Monticello headlined by Gary Lee Jeffries.  For the first time, there was the 'Taste of White County' with 11 area restaurants serving up some delicious food, from barbecue to frosted cookies.

"I love it. I love seeing all the crowds, and seeing all the people you haven't seen in years," co-organizer
Ingrid Landis said.  "It's like a big reunion.  You know everybody looks forward to this event every year and they talk about it all year long."

NewsChannel 18's Dan Klein and Elisabeth Rentschler represented WLFI at the Tour.

For families or those of any age looking for something fun to do this weekend, don't forget about the Spirit of Monticello Festival both Saturday and Sunday with everything from a car show to a bubble gum blowing contest.
