WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - United Way held its annual kick off breakfast Tuesday morning at Purdue University.
The event highlighted the importance of the organization's 2012 campaign "Team Up Live United."
"It's just an important way for us to do two things: one, to announce our Pacesetter totals because that's a great way to get the campaign started; and two to rally the community, this is a community-wide effort. Everybody needs to come together to make it happen. Our theme this year, 'Team Up Live United' is just that. So the kick off is a way to get things started," commented James Taylor, Executive Director, United Way of Greater Lafayette.
United Way's goal for its campaign is $4,750,000.
