WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - It sounded a lot like Christmas on the Purdue University Campus Sunday.
Yuletide lovers packed Elliott Hall of Music for the 78 th Purdue musical organization’s Christmas show.
250 performers, including the Purdue Glee Club, the Purduettes and the University Choir, have been practicing for months to spread a little Christmas cheer. Some people we talked to said they always make a point to come to the show because it’s a great way to kick off the holiday season.
“I love the music. I love everything. It’s the feeling of Christmas and you can feel it when you come out. Everybody gathers together in the building. I love the atmosphere,” said Wahnita Schley.
“My four-year-old loves the music. I think, someday, he’ll want to be up on stage. It just puts me in the mood for Christmas,” said Gerry Rebinos.
“It just makes happier for you and everybody else. It’s just a great time of the year,” said Nellie Thompson.
The show ran several times throughout the weekend, and now, the Purdue musical organizations are looking for feedback. If you attended and filled out a survey on Purdue’s website, you could win tickets to next year’s show.
