The damage is done for a small town in Fountain County

WALLACE, Ind. (WLFI) - Thursday night's severe weather didn't miss Fountain County and neither did hail damage.

Trees, branches, and leaves covered the roads and yards of Wallace Friday afternoon.

Kama Webster said the small town received tennis ball-sized hail. Webster now has shattered windows and a very dented car.

She said when the storm hit, it immediately started hailing. She said straight-line winds were also part of the storm. Her neighbor's tree completely up-rooted. Corn and soy bean fields on the outskirts of town have been hacked up by the hail. She said she's never experienced anything like it.

"All of a sudden, it picked up and the wind started turning cold and funny and we heard something hit the roof and it was the hail starting that quick. It started off at least marble size or bigger, just to start," said Webster.

Webster said she's been in contact with her insurance company all day. She said cars, houses, and roofs can be fixed. She's just glad nobody was injured during the storm.
