WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Before hitting the turkey, runners hit the pavement Thursday morning for a good cause.
Fleet Feet Sports West Lafayette organized a special 5-K at Cumberland Park.
Participants were encouraged to bring in canned items to donate to Food Finders Food Bank in lieu of a registration fee.
The next charity race is the "Reindeer Relay" on Dec. 1.
Proceeds will go to the Purdue Athlete Life Success Program for underserved children.
