CLARK COUNTY, Nev. (WLFI) - A Benton County murder suspect is fighting extradition from Nevada.

Steven R. Farrell was arrested near Las Vegas last week.

The Clark County district attorney's office said Farrell said he would not waive extradition to Indiana during a hearing Monday morning.

Farrell is accused of killing his fiancé, Christine Craig, near Otterbein.

The District Attorney's office has 90 days to issue a Governor's warrant for Farrell to be returned to Indiana to face the murder charge.

He said the only issue is proving that the person being held by authorities in Nevada is the person being sought for murder in Benton County.
