FRANKFORT, Ind. (WLFI) - A Frankfort man is in jail after his stepdaughter said he placed a knife to her throat. Ernest Snyder, 51, faces felony charges of intimidation with a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
Frankfort Police were called Monday evening to an apartment on West Walnut Street.
Police said when they arrived Snyder was not there.
Officers called for the help of Clinton County Sheriff's deputies. Snyder was stopped in his car by deputies right outside of Frankfort near State Road 28 and 350 West.
"Evidence was collected during the traffic stop," Frankfort Police Chief Troy Bacon said. "That has been logged and placed into our custody. To make it more clear, the knife was found there."
No court date has been set by the prosecutor's office.
