Steer clear of burning trash

CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - If you normally burn your trash, Carroll County said you need to steer clear of that right now.
The county's Emergency Management Agency Director Dave McDowell said, fire conditions are still in bad shape, and although trash burning has always been prohibited by state law, it hasn't previously been enforced locally.
He said that's about to change.
Residents need to haul trash to a transfer location until the burn ban is lifted.
The county transfer station is in Delphi at 1295 N. 625 W. and it's open Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. - noon.
A full-size pickup load of household trash costs roughly $15 to drop off.
