LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WLFI) - A candidate for State Representative was arrested Thursday in Logansport for dealing cocaine.
Police said members of the Cass County Drug Task Force executed an arrest warrant Thursday afternoon on South Third Street at Worly's Inn.
52-year-old Kerry Worthington was arrested on a warrant for dealing cocaine.
He's currently the Democratic candidate running for State Representative in District 23.
He faces additional preliminary charges of cocaine possession, possession of marijuana and reckless possession of drug paraphernalia.
Worthington bonded out of the Cass County Jail Thursday evening.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.
Worthington is challenging the District 23 incumbent Republican Bill Friend in November's election.
