INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WISH) - According to our sister station, 24-Hour News 8, a stage coach accident has occurred inside of the Pepsi Coliseum at the State Fairgrounds.
The Clydesdale Horse Show was set to start at 5:00 p.m. At the opening of the show, a stage coach that was pulled by 6 horses came into the area. When the stage coach went to make its first figure eight movement, the stage coach flipped on its side.
Horses are reportedly OK. There were four judges inside of the coach. A Fair princess was also on board, in addition to the State Queen who was on top of the coach.
The driver of the stagecoach jumped off and seems to be alright. The Queen was reportedly seen on a stretcher sitting up. People in the stands rushed to the floor to assist and give first aid.
Three of the five passengers in Sunday night's stage coach mishap have been released from Methodist Hospital.
Another passenger is expected to be released later Sunday evening. One passenger will be kept overnight for observation.
