WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on the campus of Purdue University will hold the "HowTo Festival" on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Purdue freshman engineering student Brian Kadowaki is a parishioner at St. Tom's and is a member of the HowTo festival organizing committee.
"It's a great way to learn something new," he said in an interview on News 18 Daybreak.
This unique festival is free and open to everyone. You'll get a chance to choose from 45 different topics. The festival offers simply fun and entertaining topics such as "HowTo juggle" to the more serious such as "HowTo decide what to do with this one precious life I have."
Fr. Patrick Baikauskas also appeared on News 18 Daybreak Wednesday morning to discuss the festival. He said the event is also a way for people to find out more about St. Tom's. Some topics at the festival also include a look at the architecture inside the church and the understanding of the Catholic mass.
If you are naturally curious, have a zest for life or if you just simply enjoy learning new things, you'll have a lot of fun at the festival.
St. Thomas Aquinas is the Newman Center for Purdue University. The church is located at 535 West State St. in West Lafayette, Ind. You can find more information about the church via its website and Facebook page .
