WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - It was a spooky cycling time at the Purdue intermural fields. The Purdue Cycling Club hosted a race Saturday with 70 participants from across the Midwest.
Everyone cycling was invited to dress in their spookiest or most outrageous costumes, though only a few chose to participate. In the true spirit of Halloween the winner of the best costume was handed a bag of candy.
Other winners received more traditional prizes, like medals.
The race takes some of the best collegiate cyclists and pits them against each other across various terrains, including sand pits and creeks.
