Cancer-free girl shaves sister's head during halftime

WINAMAC, Ind. (WLFI) - A very special and cool moment took place during halftime at Tuesday's varsity boys basketball game between Winamac and Logansport, when Christina Turpin shaved her sister Emily's head.
This story goes back a couple years.

When Christina was 13, she was diagnosed with leukemia. As she lost her hair, she asked her sister Emily to shave her head to make things easier on her.

To celebrate Christina being cancer free, they decided to help raise money for Riley Hospital for Children this month as part of an effort sponsored by the Winamac Student council.

Emily said if they could raise $3,000, Christina could shave her head.

They reached the goal after just 8 days.

In fact, they've far exceeded the goal, raising $5,000 for Riley already.
