LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - They traveled from all over, but they met in Indiana for the same reason.

"I'm from Massachusetts and I'm here for the Super Bowl," said Jay Frederick.

This Super Bowl featured two east coast teams, no Midwestern teams, and no Indianapolis Colts.

Although the Colts didn't make it to the big game this year, one Giants fan was still showing the Hoosier state a little love.

"I'm definitely rooting for Peyton," said Mishan Mateosian, who traveled to Indiana all the way from New Jersey. "If it wasn't for Peyton, Eli wouldn't be who he is today. I hope that he stays with Indiana, but obviously, it doesn't look that way. So, I just wish the best for him and I hope he still plays football."

Yet, Peyton wasn't the Manning brother fans were going to see Sunday.

Fans traveled from far away to end up on one shuttle in Lafayette. A shuttle that took them from their hotel to Lucas Oil Stadium. A shuttle that took them to watch their team compete for the Lombardi trophy. A shuttle that took them to a game so important, some, like 11-year-old Frederick, didn't mind making sacrifices for.

"I missed school Friday, Monday and Tuesday," said Frederick.

Fans disagreed on everything from their favorite player to the outcome of the game.

"Eli Manning is definitely the best player," said Mateosian.

Frederick had a different opinion.

"Rob Gronkowski," said Frederick. "He's big, he's fast and he's just amazing."

And as far as score predictions?

"Giants will win it," said Mateosian. "27 to 24!"

"I think the Patriots will win," said Frederick. "I think it will be 21 to 18."

Despite the difference in opinions, for one weekend, Indianapolis brought fans together for a game that they believe showcased the two best teams in the NFL.

That was something fans didn't hesitate to cheer about.
