CLARKS HILL, Ind. (WLFI)- - Friends of Army Sergeant Kyle Osborn wait to hear when their friend's remains will return to Lafayette.

Since they received the news of their friend's death in Afghanistan, they said they've been spending time at Osborn's farm in Clarks Hill, the place where he planned to return.

Friends said they've been trying to support Osborn's family. They said they have fond memories with Kyle on the farm.

"For a long time we've been waiting for him to come back to start where he left off on the farm," Osborn's friend Tanner D. Lewis said.

"We came out to the farm and celebrated in our own way, and remembered Kyle in our own way," Osborn's friend Matt Chapple said.

Many homes in Clarks Hill and Stockwell have lined the streets with American Flags and put flags at half staff in honor of Osborn.
