CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Crews spent much of their mid-day cleaning up from multi-car slide-offs on the interstate in Clinton County.

According to Indiana State Police, about 11 or 12 slide-offs occured around 9:30 a.m. on southbound I-65 near mile marker 154, which is a few miles south of the Frankfort exit. Several vehicles and at least three semi trucks slid off the interstate into the median during white-out conditions.

Indiana State Police troopers say there were a total of seven crashes from the slide-offs. Traffic was backed up for a couple of hours as crews cleared the vehicles.

As of 12:15 p.m. crews began to leave the scene. Traffic should be running smoothly again.
