WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Smoke Free Air Law isn't the only law that goes into effect on July 1.
For all the motorcycle fans out there, it's now legal to buy, sell, or trade motorcycles on Sundays.
Parents who want their children to attend tuition-free, full-day kindergarten now have that option, thanks to 80 million dollars the state put in to local school districts.
Parents paying child support in Indiana will now save two years' worth of payments, as the new law lowers the emancipation age for children from 21 to 19.
A Medical Amnesty law, headed by Purdue students, also takes effect July 1. The new law is designed to make it easier for underage drinkers to get help for a friend who's had too much to drink. The law will grant immunity if they cooperate with authorities and stay on the scene until emergency crews arrive.
High school athletes and their parents will be required to learn about the dangers of concussions starting July 1. Athletes who have suffered a concussion will now have to provide a doctor's note to their coach before they are allowed to return to practice.
