LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The second annual community meal at Big Time's BBQ in Lafayette kicked off the week leading up to Thanksgiving.

Lady Kroozers from the Lafayette Kroozers Car Club were serving up turkey, mashed potatoes and all kinds of great food to anyone that was hungry.

Kroozers president Roger Gregory and Big Time's BBQ owner Michael Stevens said helping feed hungry people in the community is a rewarding experience.

"Last year we ended up serving about 150 and probably 50 to go orders so it was a great blessing for us," Stevens said.

"It feels good," Gregory said about helping the community. "I mean if we help 10 people or if we help 150 [people] it just feels good to do something for the community."

Lafayette Kroozers raised money hosting car shows to help fund the community dinner.

This is the first time the Kroozers and Big Time's BBQ have teamed up.
