LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Some along Wabash Avenue in Lafayette had their power knocked out around noon when a semi snagged an over-head line, snapping a utility pole in half.

The truck was traveling down Ellsworth Street when its trailer caught the wire snapping a transformer pole a half a block away.

Power was knocked out at Beutler Packing Company and Sacred grounds Coffee Shop, along with several homes.

Duke Energy estimated the power would be restored in 4 to 5 hours.
