CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Authorities say the scene where two semi tractor trailers collided on Interstate 65 is now mostly cleared.

The crash happened around 2 a.m. Friday near the 154 mile marker, which is south of the Frankfort exit. One semi was reported to have overturned. There were no immediate reports of any injuries. Traffic backups as long as two hours were reported.

During a live interview on News 18 Daybreak, Lt. John Ricks with the Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office said even around 6 a.m., traffic was still affected in that area due to the crash. Lt. Ricks also mentioned main thoroughfares were mostly clear but county roads were still snow covered and slick in spots.

Drivers are asked to leave early and proceed with caution. Due to the inclement weather, several schools decided to delay Friday morning and some even decided to close. A link to current school delays and closings can be found on the News 18 weather page .
