LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Lafayette Police Department has located 12-year-old Shaun Jamal Longstreet who was found shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday.

Police say Longstreet was found in Lafayette. Longstreet lives in Cambridge Estates near the Tippecanoe Mall. Police say they believe Longstreet may have walked away from his apartment on Grenadier Lane Friday afternoon when he was reported missing.

Police say Longstreet was located with the help of the public information shared about the young boy's whereabouts through hotlines like A Child is Missing, a national phone notification system, or the Lafayette WeTip Hotline and Project Safe Neighborhoods.
