BENTON/WHITE COUNTIES, Ind. (WLFI) - Benton and White County drivers should prepare for a change to State Road 18.

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says maintenance crews will start a pavement preservation project on or after Wednesday, August 22, between U.S. 52 and U.S 231 on State Road 18.

Arrow boards and flagmen will control traffic flow in the area while crews work.

The project is slated to wrap up after Thursday, August 30, weather-permitting.

Drivers are urged to use caution while driving through this area.

Loose stone will be present on the roadway during the first part of the project, and that can damage windshields and paint on vehicles that follow each other too closely.

For the latest news and information about INDOT, visit their website .

You can also find traffic restriction information at this site , or contact the Crawfordsville District toll-free at 1-888-WCINDOT.
