FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) - Just days before the kickoff of the holiday shopping season, a fire at the Target in Fishers brought fire crews to the store Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out in the rear of the building at 11750 Commercial Drive, near 116th Street and Commercial Drive, said Ron Lipps, Fishers Fire Department spokesman.
It appeared the fire started in a cardboard bailer. A single fire sprinkler head above the area contained the fire, Lipps said, but the fire produced a lot of smoke in the store.
As of about 9:45 a.m., firefighters were working to get the smoke out of the building.
There were no injuries, Lipps said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
