INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Police say they have located 10-year-old Tatyana Staten, who was reported missing Friday afternoon.

Police received a call around 10 a.m. Sunday morning that Staten had been located in the area of 46th Street and Shadeland Avenue.

Police say a neighbor saw Tatyana at the Kroger near 46th and Shadeland. The person saw the little girl, called her name, and she answered, police say.

Police say the search maybe over but the investigation continues Sunday night.

"It's very cold out here. It's very hard for our detectives to understand how she survived all the way from Friday into today so that’s what our detectives will do when they talk with her," said Kendale Adams with IMPD.

Tatyana is currently in good condition at Community East Hospital. She is suffering from minor symptoms of hypothermia. She is expected to make a full recovery.

24-Hour News 8 spoke with neighbors who say they saw the picture of Staten on the news and it was on their minds. They also say that Sunday was a big victory, especially for Tatyana and the Staten Family.

“Thats what we need to embrace. We saved one. We didn't lose one. We lose too many out here," said neighbor Mark Bates. "The good Lord shined on us here. So I just hold on to that and hope for more people and I think that's the saving grace here."

Tatyana Staten was reported missing Friday. Her mother called police and said Tatyana had left home and could not be located, according to a release. Tatyana is believed to have run away from her home after being suspended from school earlier on Friday.
