INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Officials say a decomposed body was found in the water in Broad Ripple Monday afternoon.
The Indianapolis Fire Department and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating after workers working along Westfield Blvd. noticed the body and called 911 around 12:50 p.m.
Monday, sending rescuers to the area near 64th Street and Westfield Boulevard, across from the American Legion, according to IMPD spokesman Mike Hewitt.
Homicide has been notified, Hewitt said.
