WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The search for the next Purdue president continues.

The purdue board of trustees met earlier this week and interviewed prospective candidates for the President's position. That meeting was closed to the public.

Chairman of the board Keith Krach said a search committee is working hard to find the best person for the job. He said he is satisfied with the actions the search committee is taking.

"That search committee, first of all, is going out and talking to a diagonal slice of the community, of the alumni, faculty, students, you know...world leaders," Krach said.

Krach would not give any names or any other information about the potential candidates.

Purdue's current president, France Córdova, will leave after her contract ends July 15th of this year.
