WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - 26-year-old Levi Riggs' star is on the rise.
"I feel like I'm at a 45 degree angle up. That's the way it's been going for the last year and half and it's continuing to be that way," Riggs said.
The 2007 Purdue graduate is quickly becoming a country music sensation. His first single F-150 reached #19 on the New Music Weekly Country Chart. He recently signed an entertainment agency booking contract with 32 Degrees Entertainment.
For his latest single, Tailgate Time, Riggs created custom versions for radio stations in football markets across the country, including one for the Indianapolis Colts. He also did versions for Super Bowl XLV teams, the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. And, he was asked to perform at the Leigh Steinberg 25th Anniversary VIP Super Bowl Party in Dallas, Texas.
"There were all kinds of celebrities that came to this party and probably thousands of people who walked through the door," Riggs said.
Riggs has been hard at work on a country album in Nashville.
"We're sifting through all of that material to find the best songs and the best fit for me to really put together an album that's second to none," he said.
Riggs said he hopes to have the new single released in the spring.
"So we're just open for all kinds of new opportunities and we've got a lot going on this summer, a lot of bookings already so that's where we're headed. But, hopefully even better things. Maybe Grammys," he said.
