Preview: More Than a Resolution | A Journey to Healthier Living

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Obesity is a growing problem in this country. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than one-third of Americans are obese. In Indiana, more than 30 percent of the population is obese, ranking it ninth in the nation for most obese people.

News 18's Jessie Hawila and personal trainer Dozie Onunkwo with support from International Fitness are helping two Lafayette residents start on their road to a healthier life.

Join us on the journey as 54 year-old Terri Staley and 28-year-old Jared Bond of Lafayette work to lose weight. They started in late December and have already lost inches and dozens of pounds.

This isn't a story on the risks of being overweight, because most people know how dangerous it is. This story is about inspiring you to start making a change. Find out how the weight is being lost and why it's never too late to get on the road of being in shape!
