WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - County Prosecutor Bob Guy said his decision on how to prosecute 20-year-old David Rodenbarger will not be based on money, but it could cost up to $1 million.
You can find more information in one of our previous stories.
Guy says the case against Rodenbarger is a death-penalty-eligible case or he could get life without parole. Guy said he won't make a decision on which to pursue until he has looked at all options.
The cost of pursuing the death penalty could be anywhere from $500,000 up to $1 million dollars. Life without parole would be $50,000 to $100,000. The case could last until 2015.
Rodenbarger is accused of stabbing his mother, 41-year-old Michelle Haskins, and his half-sister, 6-year-old Jillian Haskins, to death earlier this month.
