TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - As enrollment continues to increase in the Tippecanoe School Corporation, some changes could be in the works during the next few years.
Before Wednesday night's school board meeting, board members met in a work session and discussed the growing population at both Woodland and Klondike elementary schools.
Students will be accommodated this school year, but in the next year or two, officials said changes like re-zoning could eventually take place which would mean some students, depending on where they live would be shifted to other schools.
Boundary adjustments between Woodland and Dayton elementary schools and Klondike and Burnett Creek elementary schools could eventually take place in the coming years.
Other options include making additions to school buildings like the proposed expansion at Wea Ridge Elementary and utilizing mobile classrooms.
The board will continue the discussion at next month's regular meeting.
