LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Plans have been announced for the first annual 2013 Blue Jean Ball to benefit Food Finders Food Bank.
A special press conference took place this morning in Lafayette. The fundraiser was presented by Bison Financial Group and Purdue's Agriculture department.
The goal is to raise awareness and $25,000 for struggling Hoosiers.
The Ball will bring in money to fund Food Finders operating needs as the organization continues to fight Hunger.
"Food finders Food Bank is support by the food community in Lafayette. Particularly by Bison and what a great partnership that is," said Katy Bunder, Food Finders Executive Director.
"We don't have a big separation of the non-profit and for profit sector we have a real collaboration," Bunder said.
Bison Financial presented a $5,000 check to begin the fundraising efforts. The Blue Jean Ball takes place May 18 at Beck's Ag Center.
