WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The fight between Planned Parenthood of Indiana and the state of Indiana over Medicaid dollars continues.
An injunction against the law that would halt Medicaid dollars to Planned Parenthood was granted. The Attorney General, Greg Zoeller, filed a suit to repeal that ruling in the 7th circuit court.
Zoeller said that case was originally slated for a hearing today, but has now been postponed until December.
Zoeller said the debate and suit are all part of a healthy democratic debate.
"They see litigation as adversarial, which it is by its nature. But you should really look at these lawsuits as a way to challenge state government to see whether we're acting within the authority that we have," said Zoeller.
In the interim, Planned Parenthood continues to see all patients, and accept Medicaid funding.
