Oscar Winksi helps you recycle old electronics

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Oscar Winski collected unwanted electronics to recycle on Saturday. The e-recycling drive was held at Cumberland Park in West Lafayette.

The recycling company collects and recycles just about anything that runs on batteries or plugs into the wall. Oscar Winski E-Recycling General Manager Thom Davis said he tries to make recycling electronics as easy as possible for the community.

"We pick locations we find where people really want to recycle," said Davis. "A lot of these things are big and they don't want to transfer them real far. So, we come to areas like here at Cumberland Park where we know there's a lot of folks out here in this area that we know want to recycle and do a lot of recycling already. So, adding electronics to that is a big element for them."

All items are collected free of charge except for a few items, which cost about $5 to recycle.
