Collision sends one to hospital

Wreck happened on U.S. 52. in Tippecanoe County

LAFAYETTE, IN (WLFI) - One man was taken to the hospital after a three car accident on U.S. 52.

It happened Monday morning at the intersection of  U.S. 52 and County Road 500 South.

According to law enforcement officers on the scene, a pick-up truck had turned left on 500 South to go west on 52 when it became entangled with another car. Shortly after, a semi hit the wreckage.

The driver of pick-up was partially ejected from the vehicle and taken to a local hospital. The extent of injuries is unknown.

One west-bound lane of U.S. 52 was closed while crews cleared the scene.
