GREATER LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - If you know a woman in the community who has done a great job serving the community and also serves as a distinctive role model for others, here’s something great you can do to honor her.
The YWCA Greater Lafayette is accepting nominations for the 2013 Salute to Women.
Salute to Women recognizes and honors the achievements of all outstanding women age 21 and older in the Greater Lafayette area (Benton, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fountain, Jasper, Montgomery, Tippecanoe, Warren and White counties).
Several women will be honored as Women of Distinction.
Also, a Mary Keller Ade Woman of Wisdom may be selected.
Additionally, the Woman of Innovation award is meant to recognize a woman under 40 who may not have as many years of experience as our Women of Distinction but nevertheless has served admirably and is a role model for others in the community.
Nominations are due Friday, Dec. 7, and you can find nomination forms at the YWCA at 605 N. Sixth St. in Lafayette.

to Women Hall of Fame honorees are also listed on the YWCA website. The YWCA Salute to Women Banquet will be on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Four Points by Sheraton in West Lafayette.
