FRANKFORT, Ind. (WLFI) - Make sure you get your trash to the curb before Christmas if you’re a Frankfort resident.
In accordance with the city’s established policy of not collecting trash on city holidays, there will be no trash collection on Christmas Eve (Monday), Christmas Day (Tuesday), New Year’s Eve (Monday, Dec. 31) or New Year’s Day (Tuesday, Jan. 1).
Parks and Streets Superintendent George Belmore says not having street department crews in on city holidays saves taxpayers money in employee wages and fuel consumption.
