WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Crews continue putting the finishing touches on the roundabout at Yeager Road and Cumberland Avenue.
The intersection originally closed back in August.
Last month construction crews accidentally severed a fiber optic cable that caused cell phone and land line outages.
Despite the problems, city officials expect completion by the end of this month.
However, weather could pose a problem in the immediate future.
"A lot of the materials you put on roundabouts is asphalt and there is temperature concern when laying asphalt. The temperature has to be within certain perimeters to make sure it basically stays and doesn't get broken up during the winter months," commented Mayor John Dennis.
The roundabout is phase three of the Cumberland Avenue project.
