WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A new highway means new development plans for Purdue.

The University's land use map was presented to the Board of Trustees' Physical Facilities Committee Tuesday. The trustees were presented with future development and expansion plans centered around the new U.S. 231 under construction west of campus.

Plans call for mixed use development on the southwest side of campus, near River Road. The University also plans to develop the northwest side of campus, just north of Cherry Lane.

No action was taken at the meeting. An executive meeting followed.
