Neighbors offer help during fire fight

WARREN COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - While the sun began to beat down on those firefighters in Warren County, neighbors sprang into action.

Rita Gick, who lives just on the other side of the road from the barn fire, saw the people battling the blaze looked a little parched.

That's when she and her kids decided to grab their water cooler, fill it up and offer cold water to the firefighters.

Gick said it was the least she could do for all the hard work these rural fire departments do for those living outside the city limits.

"It's all good being out in the middle of nowhere to have as many fire departments to respond as quickly as they did is awesome. We have super fire departments out in the country,” said Gick.
