Nearly 900 Duke Energy customers faced Tuesday without power

INDIANA (WLFI) - Hundreds of area residents faced their day Tuesday without power. However, as of 2 p.m., all power in the viewing area was restored.

According to Duke Energy’s website at noon Tuesday, almost 700 locations in Carroll County were without power. But, as of 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, that number was reduced drastically to 169 outages. And by 1:15 p.m. that number was down to 0 outages.

Clinton County was a bit lower at nearly 20 without power at noon. By 2 p.m., no people were without power.

And Tippecanoe County had almost 60 reported power outages by noon. But, at 1:15, that was down to just 17 reports of no power. And by 1:45 all reported outages in Tippecanoe County were under control.

There is no word yet on the cause of the power outages, but ice accumulating on trees and power lines could be to blame.
