LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - For more than two decades, people have had the opportunity to walk through Bethlehem right here in Lafayette.
Friday night kicked off the 22nd edition of Faith Church's annual living nativity scene. People can walk or drive past 14 different scenes. They can talk to Mary and Joseph or see live animals, including camels and donkeys.
It's a free trip to stroll through the Holy Land but Faith Church is asking for donations of non-perishable food items.
"This actually started because people said, 'How can we help?' People wanted to pay to come through and we're like we don't want any money. That's not the goal of this. This is our Christmas card to the entire community," said Arvid Olson with Faith Church.
If you missed the opening of the nativity scene, no need to worry. It will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. It will also be open at the same time on Friday through Sunday of next weekend.
