MONTICELLO, Ind. (WLFI) - According to Indiana State Police, a 20-year-old man stabbed his 41-year-old mother and 6-year-old half-sister to death early Saturday morning.

Police responded to a home at 5642 East Richey Park around 1:23 a.m. Saturday after a report of a possible stabbing.

Police said a preliminary investigation showed 20-year-old David Scott Rodenbarger stabbed his mother, Michelle Haskins, and his half-sister, Jillian Haskins, to death. Police said all three lived in the home.

Police said Michelle made the 911 call before dying of her injuries. The little girl was taken to White County Memorial Hospital. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Rodenbarger was taken to the White County Jail in Monticello. He is being charged with murder. Police said other charges may be pending.
