LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - West Lafayette's newest roundabout just opened Tuesday, and now drivers in Lafayette can look forward to a new roundabout as well.

According to the city engineer's office, work could begin this fall on a roundabout at the intersection of Twyckenham Boulevard and Poland Hill road.

Phase one of work along that stretch will include new trails and ADA compliant sidewalks and curbs.

Project design engineers say an increase in the number of roundabouts is something we will continue to see in the years to come.

Phase two of work will include reconstruction and widening of Old Romney Road.

That construction could begin sometime next year.
