WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - More classrooms are slated to be built at West Lafayette Junior/Senior High School.
That was part of a preliminary bond issue vote by the West Lafayette School Board Wednesday evening. The board voted to issue a bond of $1.95 million.
Some of the money will be used to improve security and communications at Cumberland and Happy Hollow elementary schools by next fall.
The rest of the money will add three to four classrooms at the Junior/Senior High School and renovate several others by the fall of 2013.
Superintendent Rocky Killion said because of other debts coming off the books, there will be no extra costs to taxpayers.
