CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - A Monticello man is dead after a crash Friday morning in Carroll County.

The Carroll County Sheriff's Office said it happened around 8 o'clock on State Road 218, about five miles east of Camden.

Detectives said 22-year-old Blake Underhill was eastbound on 218 when, for an unknown reason, he left the road and drove down an embankment, before crashing in a wooded area. Underhill was found seat-belted in his SUV, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said snow and ice on the roadway may have been factors in the crash.
