Montgomery County clinic gets boost

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Montgomery County Free Clinic was challenged by North Central Health Services (NCHS) to raise $300,000.
If the clinic is successful, NCHS will match that amount at a 3 to 1 ratio for a grand total of 1.2 million dollars.

The Community Foundation of Montgomery County is chipping in with a $75,000 donation which gets the clinic 25% closer.

Free Clinic President Bill Doemel said the donation is a very welcome relief.

"The two things together are what make this a great project.  Because, first of all, it's an organization that has the resources, giving us the opportunity to engage and involve the citizens of Montgomery County to support this project," said Doemel.

The clinic is hoping to put the money toward moving into a new building.
