Money raised for Friendship House

Car enthusiasts from all over were able to get their fix Saturday. The Friendship House in West Lafayette held its annual car show and community garage sale Saturday afternoon.

All money raised by the garage sale and raffle tickets will go toward the residence entertainment fund. North Friendship House manager Adam Meyer said the fund provides entertainment acts year-round for residents.

Meyer said all residents came together to make the event possible.

"We have a small committee to help with the garage sale and also help with the car show," said Meyer. "Watching them interact with each other and sort of bring ideas to the table, it's really exciting. I know that they really enjoy it and it gives them something to do."

Meyer said the car show and garage sale are the biggest fundraisers for the Friendship House.  The event lasted until 2:00 Saturday afternoon.
