LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A Frankfort man faces seven charges after investigators say he stole a car, then threatened to hunt down and eat the police officers who arrested him, their families and even their dogs.

Detectives said he did it all with a blood alcohol content more than three times the legal limit.

Lafayette police said 39-year-old Paul Brock stole a car from the Speedway gas station on Elmwood Avenue Friday night at approximately 10:00 p.m.  Detectives said the gas station manager, Crystal Cochran, had just unlocked the car and left it running so it would be warm at the end of her shift.

Police stopped the car in the Pay Less parking lot at Maple Point Drive and State Road 38.   Officers said Brock kicked a K-9 unit twice in the head before he could be arrested.

When Brock was taken to the hospital, detectives said he told police he would hunt down every officer involved in his arrest and eat their children, dogs and their entire families.

Preliminary blood tests show Brock's blood alcohol content to be 0.26%.

Brock faces three felony charges including auto theft, auto theft with a prior conviction and intimidation. He also faces four misdemeanor charges including resisting law enforcement, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, operating a vehicle with at least 0.15 gram of alcohol, and striking, interfering with a law enforcement animal.

He remains in the Tippecanoe County jail Wednesday night with bond set at $25,000.
