Reynolds, Ind. (WLFI) - One man is marking the military deaths in Iraq with a cross country run.

Mike Ehredt started his Project America Run in Oregon and came through Reynolds. Ehredt is an Army veteran who wanted to do something to remember service people who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq. As he runs, he's marking the miles.

"Each mile a flag is placed with a service member's name for Iraq in reverse chronicle order in death so that the last flag placed is the first fatality in Iraq,” he said.

Ehredt will run a total of 4450 miles and end the jog in Rockland, Maine.
